Newcastle

Be Active Newcastle

Our new programme will include a lot of the activities you loved in the summer and will continue to take place outside in the fresh air, except for some disciplines – such as yoga and Tai Chi – for which we’ll be moving inside.

Please make sure you check the new schedule, because times and locations of existing sessions are subject to change, and we don’t want you to miss out.

ParkLives sessions are being run in many parks around Newcastle, so you’re bound to find something close to home. The parks taking part include:

  • Paddy Freeman’s
  • Nunsmoor Park
  • Jesmond Dene
  • Heaton
  • Blakelaw
  • Tyne Riverside
  • Gosforth Central
We had so much fun last summer, and it was so great to see so many of you taking part in our sessions, that we need you to help us make 2015 just as brilliant.
Every activity will be fun, free and available to all – so join us.
We got chatting to some of our attendees out and about in Newcastle last summer and this is what they said:

“ParkLives has meant I can interact with other mums whilst being outside in the fresh air and doing exercise. It's helped my mental state and it's absolutely brilliant. I definitely recommend it.”
- Jo, Active Push

“ParkLives has been brilliant, it's really helped me get back to a fit and healthy lifestyle after pregnancy. I'd really recommend it as it's first class!”
- Jane, Beginners Running

"I didn’t have an awful lot of confidence physically before I joined the group, but since I've joined ParkLives, I've really found a sense of camaraderie with the other women and I’ve loved the atmosphere. I also feel a lot more motivated in testing myself physically, and I have even decided to take part in the Great North Run."
-Liz
