Freemantle Lake Park

Freemantle began to be built up in the 1850s and is still mostly small Victorian semi detached and terraced houses. The school was built in 1857 and the Church was completed in 1865. In Freemantle Lake Park we have provided a dog agility course, which is well used and it encourages training and responsible dog ownership. Alternatively, being so close to the Cultural Quarter, it could be used as a combined open air performance space and art market. The enclosure ensures a secure, controllable environment. This would add to the spectacle of visiting the park and promote local artists. It could encourage park use by becoming a destination in it's own right.
