ParkLives Southampton welcomes VIP

We recently welcomed a very special guest to a ParkLives session in Southampton. Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton North, paid a visit to Southampton Sports Centre to take part in a Walk to Run session with participants from the local community.

The session aims to help people of all ages enjoy running no matter how active they usually are, and is just one of hundreds of ParkLives sessions we’re delivering in the city this year in partnership with Southampton Council and Active Nation.

Caroline said: “It was great to see so many people of all ages and abilities getting involved in the session and making the most of the local facilities. I had a wonderful time socialising with my constituents and learning more about the benefits of running.”

We look forward to seeing you at another session soon, Caroline!

Live locally? You can try a whole host of free activities in Southampton this year including crazy golf, buggy mums, Tai Chi and social tennis.

You can find a full timetable of sessions – including a postcode park finder – right here at ParkLives.com, where you can also register and book to save yourself a space.
